MErdeka Special

the flower is a hibiscus right? be a damn embarrasment if it wasnt..so malaysia will turn 49 in a couple of hours. so i figured i put up the national flower as a sign a respect and love for my country. i'm a damn damn damn patriotic person and if possible would love to grow old and die there but i'm not exactly happy with its future prospects. corruption for one is to blatant. next is though we're a multi-racial community, we're in no way united! i want to blame BN for this. don't get me wrong, i dont hate them nor do i support the opposition but i think BN needs an evolution. It shouldn't just be a coalition anymore. It's understandable 30 yrs ago when racial issues were more sensitive and ppl were fighting for their own rights but this 'rights' is doing more harm to our country than good. i want to see a unified BN where what's best for the country takes priority over any any race, which includes malays(or political issues). i'm not saying that all rights and aid should be stripped from them but i'm saying the aid is doing more damage to them than good.the government should be brave to make non-favoured political decisions.Often not, the best politicians were the ones that had a stand and was bold to make moves no one dare make.the government should definitely buck up but,we the citizens are to blame as well. we do nothing when someone is getting robbed, we out of ignorance , vote for the same party for 49 years, thus creting a political imbalance. (though some might argue tht its stable)we waste energy and blame the government for cutting subsidies.we liter and drive like mad men.(i'm actually surprised that in japan,a prefecture has like 5 cases of drunk driving related incidents and that they called it bad!!!!!)our education is to be blamed as well. we're not strict enough on the younger generations. while it's true that one good politician can t do anything but i believe a generation of good ones can make the difference.

it might just be crap here but i'm still proud of my country, not cause it has the longest flag or the 2nd tallest building or whatever but cos it's my country.i hope it'll still prosper for time to come.amen.

End of Summer!

i've recieve some complaints that i'm hardly in any of the photos. how to, if i'm the one taking the pictures? so this is a compilation of more personal photos where most of it werent taken by me.

1.me at miyajima.notice the mysterious guy. he 's traveling himself but wanted to take a pic himself cos he said its just too lonely always takin pics by himself.(btw, this welsh guy ,Tom who i met in Kyoto,i caught him using the self timer on his cam and taking a pic of himself at inari taisha.funny funny.)
2.awaji shima.it was a hot hot hot hot day..
3.awaji 2.

4.me at kyoto with gang n yoshida sensei(to those that don know her, she taught us in msia) and michael,my senior in malaysia.yoshida sensei brought us to this green tea specialised shop and it totally rocked my world.5.here is it! 3 scoops of thick rich green tea ice cream. shaved ice with green tea syrup and milk. green tea jelly and to wash everything off , normal tea. price=997 yen(30 ringgit). btw a haagan daaz 450ml tub is only 680yen:P
6.hiroshima styled okonomiyaki!okonomiyaki has got to be the most under rated japanese food. this one is hiroshima's speciality with oysters. it's slightly different from the osaka(kansai) one where the batter is mixed with the cabbage and everything. here, the made it separately. lovely..

so my summer hols is almost over. classes resume next wed! my thoughts on this trip? wonderful. i saw so many things. jut one complain.. summer to blardy damn hot. i feel like taking more pics now but i can't seem to take anythin here in my area.. nothing exites me. where am i going after this? kyoto in autumn.northern kyoto..i forgot d name but its where one of the 3 sights is.i wanna go japan alps too.

cheers,

-cl3m`

Hiroshima,Miyajima

sorry for not posting in awhile, just didnt have the mood. anyways the last leg of my hols is Hiroshima.

1.Hiroshima Street Train/Trams. quite a rarity in japan as most of it other cities have shut down.
2.Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Definitely worth visiting. it somewhat changes your perspective towards life. this pic is to mourn the childrens that died or survived and suffered from various diseases. the most famous case would be sayuri ,who survived the blast but later contracted luekimia. she folded 1000paper cranes in belief she would be cured.she died.
3.the cenopath, memorial towards everybody.behind it is actually the flame of peace, only to be put on when the last a-bomb is demolished.
4.the infamous a-bomb dome. the only remaining stucture that survived the blast. people say it's eerie but i find it a very sad place.5.to more cheerful places. this here is istukishima jinja at miyajima. it houses one of japan's 3 most famous scenic spots, the floating torrii gate/the gate in the sea.

6.this is as u can see, is the world's biggest rice scooper!7.miyajima aquarium. nth much here except that they let u play with the penguins. but i don't wanna play with them. i wanna be the one in this pic!

8.jellyfish,no added colouring.
9.oh,i forgot to mention, miyajima is famous for its wild deers. they walk around the island and harass tourists for food ,or even tourist maps (poor kim).this pic is titled 'wild meets ignorant human'10.the torrii gate. very nice during sunset. at the different times, the sea level is different and might even cover most of the gate.
11.disappearing land.

12.sunset gate.
this ends my summer collection of pics!
