Oogaki Church 50th anniversary

i told myself,no pics, no blogging till after exams but blah.. should be studying laa.. talk about self-control. was supposed to just enjoy myself at the church's celebrations but i ended bringing my cam and went all trigger-happy...

this are some pics of it, not necessarily good.. noisy, all shot on iso1600 but since i'm only using for small prints, i guess it's alright -)

1.entrance 2.the archbishop of japan,at least i think so...

3.recieving holy communion

4.the archbishop with the parish priest, father ben who is such a nice guy from aussie.
5.siblings..just lovely.. would have been nice closer up and from a higher perspective. she's
brazilian btw

6.patrick and andrew, the 2 american dudes. patrick is a software engineer for softopia japan while andrew is an english teacher for an elite high school in the area.
7.the most adoring 4yr old kid around. he speaks so softly but is very active.
8.another priest.. he's pretty good at it
9.siblings again,i like the perspective here but would have preferred her older sister a little more blurred out(lens limitations)
10.yuko-san, the organ player.here she's leading a group of children for a performance.
11.last but not least, him again! i must thank his mom actually for driving me to the lunch area. they're mexican btw.
oogaki church has been one of the few sources of socialism to me, where everyone is kind and warm and reminds me of home. i'm just sad that they're building a new church and if it's too far from the station, i would have to find another one...

okay.. from now.. no more pics,hopefully..

Class Trip

forgot to upload this two pics.. lazy to arrange.. so as an intro, this was the guide to our trip. the guys were all hitting on her from questions like 'how old r u?' to ' r u single?' :P

my class recently had a class trip to idemitsu petroleum plant, nagoya central airport and toyota's commerative museum.

so i'll start with idemitsu..honestly i wasnt interested at all.. i mean it's just another petronas(not tht i ever visited petronas though). initiall we were supposed/wanted to go kawasaki heavy industries where they build planes, engines those sorts of crap. but in the end. it's also has military secrets that foreigners arent allowed to see..wtf?! what can a malaysian like me do?!hell i'm even more of a pacifist than japanese. but idemitsu wasnt tht bad.. only let down was that half the time we were in a conference room! blah..

nagoya central airport was slightly much better..looks like klia but much cooler.. with an open deck for viewing planes and some retro restaurants.had lunch there at the hotel.. for 1800 buffet, it was pretty good.

next stop was toyota's commerative museum at nagoya.. any wannabe engineer should pay a visit here. could have easily spend a day here but instead we only had an hour. here's a 'i bet u din know fact' toyota was originally a textile company! alot of textile machines, cars, engines.. a simulation on how cars are built.. lotsa factory robots there. and almost every engine toyota has ever made!

1.iwata with his cam in action!
2.nagoya central airport.. oh i forgot to mention, it holds weddings and has a public bath with ceiling glass to watch planes flying!
3.JAL landing
4.best of friends,mukuda and matsuo
5.shou-chan(masamura) he finally posed for me!
6.the viewing deck
7.after the battle of the buffet!
8.prepping up
9.the chairman(we call him sachou) and my tutor!
10.'ready for take-off!'

this week i'll be off to kyoto!hopefully i can enjoy the foliage there.. hopefully i'll come back with some awesome shots!
