FOOD FOOD FOOD (a break from the cars and chicks

food from osaka and hokkaido! mostly hokkaido.hehe.

my 1st day's lunch was a simple japanese set lunch. simple is highly underrated :P very cool tempura meat ball thingies o sth
less of a class trip, more like a 入社式
table for 4?
first night's dinner at ramada hotel(i know the name sounds cheap but it's pretty good and one of the hotel attendants wears this real cool hat). it's a full course, and i mean full course, starters ,appetizers, fish, mouth rinse and everything, not to mention the cutlery.
supper was okonomiyaki at dotonbori :P
we then flew to hokkaido and had our first lunch there. i must say, this was the worst of the lot but still pretty decent(at least compared to when i travel)
small 'nabe' - hot pot

dinner at this hot spring ryoukan was amazing! the style was just a blast. i can only imagine how much it costs but i'm expecting about rm150 a person minimum.

this aint the full list. if u see the white piece of paper, written on it is the full menu
japanese style deco

sashimi, if u've noticed, any japanese meal will come with sashimi!

this hot pot was way way way better than the one i had for lunch!!!
3rd night was sushi. we had 3 sets of this.crab, sea urchin, fish roe, scallops, tuna, salmon, prawn, u name it, we ate it. probably the most expensive sushi meal i ever had coming at an approximate rm120
see this sheep?
that's our meal. so called 'gengkhis khan' lunch but all in all it was just lamb and a hot plate with kick ass dipping sauce.
this meal was at chitose airport before flying to tokyo. i always thought airport food to suck and be ridiculously pricey but i think i had the best 1000yen meal to date. fresh octopus sashimi.
and this set meal of ikura don(roe with rice) hokkaido baked potato with butter and a small bowl of udon
i must say, the roe is amazing. fresh red poppy juicy balls. if u've watched yakitate japan or cooking master boy, i was near one of those over exaggerated reactions that they show!

haha, that's all... if your mouth doesn't salivate from this, you shouldn't be coming to japan

INJUSTICE!!!

i'm getting really pissed of at the treatment Arsenal's getting with their recruitment policy. Yea, blame them for England's poor shitty performance. Blame Arsenal for nurturing pennant, bentley, upson, cole, sidwell, walcott. which man u or chelsea graduate is playing for the national team at the moment? man u bought rooney, carrick, hargreaves, ferdinand at an insane price. so did chelsea when they bought terry, lampard and cole. so who the f*** did they bring up?! Why does Arsenal get blamed if the current crop of English players can't make their standards? pennant, bentley, upson all went through the same training as any other player including cesc, flamini, eboue and so on and so on. Arsenal gave English players a chance and they failed to impress. So look somewhere else for your blame if England doesn't qualify.

and if a quota of foreign players was imposed in the EPL, it's gonna be like shitty Malaysian League................................................................................................................................................

a new record?

i've done pretty idiotic things being a photographer. i've forgot to charge my battery and could only get half the shots i wanted. i've forgot my tripod plate while bringing my 2kg monster out. today i did it again! while i must say i was already disappointed that there wasn't much to shoot but at the end of the day when i wanted to take my camera out, i noticed the EMPTY sign on my display... i forgot my memory card!!!! so imagine that i carried my camera,4 lenses including my huge 80-200 and of course my monster tripod. everything could easily 10kgs. and i trekked up mountain with that! imagine if autumn was in full force and there would be so many things to shoot. luckily it wasn't. if not i might jump of from the mountain itself :P

i guess its another lesson learnt.

goin hokkaido on tues, hopefully i don freeze to death.
