Year 2006 in review

kinda late but was busy

goodbye 2006.. pic was taken at osaka port on 31 dec 2006
another year has passed and alot has happened this year in my life and not. firstly, april this year i flew off here to japan. ive learned alot here and its not all rosy and about anime or kawaii girls here. people have asked me whether i've regretted coming here and the answer is still no. everything is an experience, good or bad(like the burning room).i've definitely learned alot since coming here and most importantly, coming here has enabled me to pursue other things and see the world. photography, travelling would not be possible if i din have jpa as my benfeiciary.

things i noticed about japanese, they're not as hardworking as people say they are. the whole seniority culture is just over the top. hence, bullying and suicides. they're alot of scandals in japan, what integrity?

back at home ,there were alot of things that happened too, the biggest being mahathir vs abdullah. i'm not rooting for any of them but i am particularly disppointed in abdullah. nothing much done in his 3 years reign. but to be fair, he does have pretty tough job to clean all of mahathir's mess.

on a global scale.. war seemed to be the theme. the iraq war, north korea going nuke, palestinians not only fighting israel but themselves and the genocides in sudan. one should be grateful i dont see much blood besides when chopping up a chicken to be cooked.

on a lighter note, nintendo and sony respectively released their consoles. wii has a strong head start while the ps3 is in limbo.. sony really got it all wrong this time and they really need a big miracle to get back on track.

what do i wanna see this year? better transparency and freedom of religion n politics in our country. an education reform in japan.. n maybe malaysia too but not necessarily the one abe is aiming at. u.s pullout? i'd hafta dream really hard for that.

on a personal note i do wanna go aussie and take more pics this year as well =)

this was at the osaka aquarium near the port. though it had a steep 60+ price tag, it was pretty good. very innovative and interesting. way definitely and bigger than aquaria klcc.
