The Pigs,Robin and Wii

the last few pics from st.fagans, the animals.

here's 2 lil greedy hungry pigs...they only made me hungry though :Probins are cute, not much to say but everytime i hear the name robin i can't help but think of robin from 'how i met your mother',easily one of best sitcoms since friends ended.
now abit of thoughts about the current hot selling console, Wii. i think i have written this sometime ago about how wii will trump everything(current sales show exactly just that. it's only about 4 million units off xbox 360 which had a years start)but recent articles and events was beyond my expectations of the wii's ability in creating new events.

first off was queen elizabeth's affection and addiction for the console and in particular wii sports.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has found herself a new hobby--playing with Prince William's Wii. British red top The People reports that the Queen has become hooked on the console after William brought it round to the royal residence, Sandringham House in Norfolk.

apparently, the royal family loves it too.

then class started and the first thing i hear is in class is my teacher getting a wii as well.he's a 30-40yr old gadget freak so i wasn't so surprised but when this another teacher got a wii, i was abit shocked and it got me thinking.you see, this teacher is probably in his 50s or late 40s and is one of those traditional strict japanese(at least he gives that impression) and he never liked videogames but his reason for getting a wii was this:

i've always wanted to do the ski jump like this japanese athlete(can't remember name) that won alot of medals in the sapporo winter olympics but since it was dangerous,i never had the guts. when i saw the wii fit, i knew i had to get it. (by the way if u don't know what a wii fit is, click here)

and his childlike excuse to get one was so out of character! he asked his children whether he wanted one and when they said that they didn't , he said 'you need one' and got them one.

never have i seen a console reaching the masses like this. it's definitely a family entertainment system. and with the wii fit selling 1 million copies in its first month in japan alone, it might just evolve into an excercising machine.

that's not to say that it's only a party console. with games like zelda, fire emblem, resident evil and not to mention the upcoming smash bros and mario kart, the future is bright for our favourite plumber and the kyoto based company(true enough, Nintendo's shares has been soaring making it i think, the 3rd most valuable company in japan, surpassing sony and only behind toyota and canon.)

so if i dont have one, get one :)
