Swak`s CM suing?

for the readers in Japan who reads Japan Times here, there was an interesting article sometime last month when the white hair dude was accused of corruption in relations with the timber industry. for those who`s dont, here`s the online article

http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nb20070329a5.html

being the all powerful man he is, he wasnt really happy, some more when utusan and malaysiakini chose to source that article and report it in the local media. his solution? sue thier asses! as reported by Star Online

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/5/16/nation/20070516152748&sec=nation

now,the funny thing is that Japan Times has not been sued yet but Mkini,Utusan n some PKR members are. question is, are these parties wrong for following up an article by another publisher? to me, it seems more like he`s trying to bully them into and apology with his massive resources.

In his personal statement to the assembly on Monday, Taib said legal action would be initiated against Japan Times and other media publications which had published false allegations against him, unless they retract the articles concerned, apologise, pay legal costs and damages. -from Star Online

Such tax irregularities have occurred as the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau determined the companies' remuneration payments to Regent Star, a Hong Kong agent, which has a connection with Chief Minister of Sarawak Taib Mahmud and his family, were rebates, not legitimate expenses, the sources said.Such tax irregularities have occurred as the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau determined the companies' remuneration payments to Regent Star, a Hong Kong agent, which has a connection with Chief Minister of Sarawak Taib Mahmud and his family, were rebates, not legitimate expenses, the sources said.-Japan Times Article.

i don`t think the dudes at tax authorities would have gotten it wrong but knowing how this things run, itll all be swept under the carpet in a few months.....anything is possible in Bolehland
