panning!Yokkaichi!Triple jump!!!!

i went all the way to yokkaichi today just to see an hours worth of triple jump. teck soon was participating. met kelly at the station, tht girl never tell me she was using JR o kintetsu... anyways, more photos here.. 1st shot's at oogaki station. while waiting for the train to nagoya, this train came zooooming past.. low shutter, tripod needed.big dof.

this was at nagoya, nagoya central towers,i did try taking pics from the 15th floor, but din came out good. it goes all the way to the 52nd floor but the only way up there is to book an appointment with the saloon there!!!!

the jist of the day, sports photography, trying with panning shots, i.e to make moving objects sharp with the bg becomes blur. to do that u'd hafta use a pretty slow shutter, abt 1/60 and move your cam the same speed as the object's moving.. i'd call this pic ' jumpin to victory?'

funniest running pose of mr.wong tech soon. funny but effective, really effective.

so he thinks he's won it???but sigh, such false hopes..

the winner goes to wong teck soon as he dashes for the finish line!(do take note that this is a triple jump event and u dont normally 'dash')could have done better with the compositionof this shot.. kinda bad huh..

on,my way back.. the train was so empty.. kinda freaked me out a lil.. somemore i thought i overshot on the stations:P but luckily i didnt or u wouldnt be reading this now
the only other person in my compartment... she's looking bored..

Return to mY r00ts

i've gotta thank the world cup for these shots. the best time to take outdoor flower shots is during dawn but since the sun rises here so early, aka 3-4am, i'm not that enthusiastic to wake up at that time, except now i have 2 excuses, footie too!here are some shots i take of flowers around my school.

i absolutely love this pic, i think the best i took so far!a small aperture setting to give a big depth of field.all my pics had my cam mounted on a tripod. this shot specifically required one cos of the shutter speed was around 1/20 i think
my 1st shot of the day. there were actually tonnes of shots on this flower but only two were usable. the rest remained slightly out of focus. this was however taken with a small depth of field to give the nice blurry effect.
this flower is well,a flower. the front view from the 1st pic flower. instead of always taking centre shots, i decided to try from different angles.got this tip from a user in low yat. ended up with a pretty nice result.i guess the rule of thirds works on alot of subjects.
there're actually cobwebs on the flower. just that the pics too small until it can't be seen! wanted to call it 'dusty flower' but now it's just 'flower'
a combo 3 pieces of flowers. i used a small aperture. partly why the grass has more details than other pics.having maxed it out to 70mm, this was the biggest dof there is. tripod def essential.

that's all from me for now. i particularly like this post. not editing, all from my cam! if i'm brave n lucky, and if the pics are good u might get to see bon odori pics later. hopefully alot of them will be wearing yukatas!i just can't wait. portrait shooting!!!!

480 yen makeover

I realized my nds was full of scrathes and it's unrepairable. so i decided to cover it. i saw this in eiden on sunday. besides having mario kart, skins for nintendogs, pokemon and animal crossing are also available. but i love mkds.. i miss the days in msia when i could go for meet ups and play 8 player multiplayer. mayhem and havoc..
front view of it.. its not some cheap sticker. water proof ones tht u can peel off easily without leaving any marks.

another view of it.. kinda cool eh?
side view and the inside.. donkey kong while the other side is luigi.

all in all, i guess it's worth it. only 480 yen(15-20ringgit) to cover those hideous scratches! a better solution would be to buy a NDSL but i'm just broke:P

photogrpahy wise, i got my tripod today. i like it.. kinda good for the price:P i can take up to 1 sec shutter speed without any shake. love it.

no @lterations!

subject theme this time is still ogaki city. surprisingly, they're many things to shoot here. i've got more shots on film . i cycled there on saturday! one hour!beat that!maybe next week, i'll take some more.

the 1st picture is funny. 1/2 cube of lumps of sugar?! what the hell is that supposed to mean?

it's a river in the city! look at how clean it is. the river actuall runs through the city. they're even big big fishes swimming in it. ducks too. it's a city! not a kampung.. really. crazy eh?

another temple. the old man walking towards it to pray. very small temple..

offerings to the bull god?'ve really got no idea. but the temple seems to place importance on water..
see my point?the water's clean, drinkable but not necessarily taste. Fuji( photography member) called it tasteless.:P
this is the well. i saw people bring big bottles here to be filled. i like this pic.. nice water flow.. doest actually flows that fast but i used a really low shutter speed to achieve this.

now who's this? my roommate called piah. funny guy.

all this pics were unedited. i only resized them. if not, i'll be dead before the pics finishes uploading. my next subject theme:480yen upgrade! :Pwaiting for my tripod to come before i start on my next project.

cyas..

TaggED!!my god, i'm so screwed...

I've been tagged.
-The tagged victim has to come up with 8 different points about his/her perfect lover.

- Have to mention the gender of his/her perfect lover.
- Tag eight other victims to join this game and leave a comment on their blog.
- If you are tagged the second time. There is NO need to do this again.
- Lastly, most importantly, HAVE FUN DOING IT.

1.i must say, trust is the most essential thing. i want someone i can trust no matter where she
is. this is also the most difficult criteria. i find it hard to trust people, especially those close to
me cos u're the most vulnerable to them. That said i am a paranoid, pessimistic ass.this actually
means being honest, don't lie and all that stuff..

2.personality, humourous, quirky, witty, i wouldnt even mind sarcastic. i guess she would hafta
be unique.

3. independant. they must have their own opinions and arguments. in other words, not a barbie
doll.she must be able to giv me freedom as well..

4.From 3, looks does matter. hard to say what my taste is but it all depends.

5,6,7,8... not needed.. being filthy rich is an added bonus.

i'm not gonna tag 8 people for this as well.. i dont c the point:P

*photogrpahy outing at oogaki this sat. theme:water. anyone care to join?*

Subject theme:Statues.

pics are taken oogaki. that's where i go to church every weekend. just a small city 19 mins train ride away. but it's blardy expensive though. 370 yen a way .. 5 stops only. killer eh? i don't know who the samurai is, probably has something to do with oogaki castle which is just behind him. nothing much to see at the castle though, small and empty...the 2nd pic would be a temple or jinjya o whatever it is. plain, simple but tranquil.. could have done better with the shot but i'm gonnna blame d weather. was starting to rain .. wasn't sunny enough:P

i don't know who's the city's planner but the hafta do something about their beautification. it's just too much. call it art, call it whatever u want to but a little naked kid is just pure obscene. summore he looks like he's taking a piss and being proud of it. maybe his first time eh? worse off is the kid beside him who seems to be enjoying the view..

this statue was behind the temple and i was looking at it's back.from that position, imagined where i thought the water came from..call me an obscene perverted freak o whatever but it's the truth. and oh, btw she's not nude, no nipples to show. but enough of that. the only reason i took it is cause i wanted to try water flowing shots

anyways, there wasnt much to take here besides statues o maybe i din just have enough time to explore cos of the rain. hopefully i'll be able to go gifu castle and park soon though. heard it rocks big time there. the castle's on top of a mountain! and it's white. and the citizens is proud that the mountain is purely natural, no replanting o whatsoever:P until then, jyane!

i'm weird, he's an idiot. this whole thing's annoying

wanna ask whether any of u while sleeping, you move around and wake up next morning to find your blanket on the floor? is it such a weird thing? everyone get nightmares a fiddles around no? o the heat o cold makes u restless. there's so many unexplained reasons right? so why issit so fucking weird?!

next, to d stupidity part. issit normal for someone to place a heater in between two beds with tonnes of combustible crap around it? the guy told me when u sleep, it feels hot n nice. tht's why he does it. might be nice but hasnt he thought its just plain DANGEROUS.

i'm irritated at the moment. its about the 'burningg' incident. its like he's putting all the blame on me for it. which is worse? a guy's futon accidentally drop o the guy who places the heater in such an exposed area while sleeping?!

next off, just a reminder to me msn buddies. stop over using your emotions?! u dont hafta put it in every sentence! it's hard to read, it lags, its annoying, overkill man. so be moderate and dont be an addict.

Subject theme: Flowered NwA-608

my exams are over!!! so i'm doing a new series of photos. still my 2nd session only, exams being the obstacle! hope u enjoy. anyways, i'm thinking of making this site more of a photo blog as i got another place to talk cock d:P

i do realize i needa get a tripod. i can't shoot at low shutter speeds without shaking .That sucks!
i got not enough cash to burn until my next allowance sigh... belows my mp3 player. i love it though. can't live without it. i wonder what i'm gonna shoot next. maybe when i go to church this week, i'll find a nice subject. i just can't be always taking pics inside my room. for your info, the background is my t-shirt! clean eh? proves that i'm actually washing me clothes! again, the flower is a contribution from the school garden. i hardly had to go sneaking around today, the school was almost empty cos exam's over!

tell me again why am i blogging now?

let's see, my exam is a mere 15 hours away and yet i'm writing here.why??why?? why???! i'll tell you why.. no, it's not cause i'm over confident nor do i think that it's gonna be easy. actually, on 2nd thought, i dont think i can answer my own question. i dunno blardy why!! i've been surfing whole day reading up on stupid stuff ( what formations countries are going to employ this world cup?) to playin new super mario bro.s( have i mentioned that it's a wonderful game, such a classic and nostalgic feel) to blogging now. Seems like i just can't bring myself to study.

so, i guess i better stop this blabbering if i wanna at least pass...

p.s: Good luck to those having their exams now. i know they're a big bunch of you!

Shoes?Shoes?more Shoes!!

i've been here for urm, 2 months? yet, i think i've bought more shoes in this short period of time than compared with my last 5 years! to be exact, 5 pairs! this brings me to a total of 7 pairs at d moment. i got running shoes, formal shoes, urm, futsal, football, one for p.e, and one for my casual wear. The last is my favourite though. It's for my workshop. heavy as it is, i's supposed to be able to withstand a 1ton impact! how cool can it be? and for only urm 100 bucks? 1 ton man. i tried to hit it, n i found my hand hurting instead...

below are some pics that were taken during the week. 1st of is sashimi! probably d best i ever had. maguro and ika(tuna and squid) my 日本事情先生、砂糖先生(sato sensei) wanted us to know the real meaning of japanese food and he definitely got his point through to me at least. It's not just about taste or quantity but when having a real japanese meal, you can sense what season you're in. Everything used is fresh and in season. the taste is unique and blends in with nature. it was just d best. luckily he treated us cos the bill was well urm..

then , birthday bash pics. mongol guy n mine. i'm 364 days younger than him. how cool can tht be?hehe.. had fun goin out with them. enjoy d pics.

p.s: pics obviously not taken by me.

long overdued

so, i haven't wrote anything since d fire but there seem to be just that wherever i go lately. was at the mall yesterday and outside, a street lamp caught on fire. i actually think i might be afraid of it one day....

been one month in japan. not that i'm too busy to write here. somehow, just lazy. well, for guy readers.. girls here r overrated. i mean cute r cute but sigh.. i just dunno. n my class doesnt have any girls, so i got no chance to interact with them at all.

how do i feel after one month? not much. still tryin to mix in with the japs. i'm not gonna be like d iranian girl that's finding problem to mix in. she's right though. mixing in is not about language. her's a awesome btw. it's mentality and interests. i can speak horrible jap n yet i think i'm doing better than her. i have a handy ds to make friends. cheating? guys r guys anywhere in the world. interests dont change much wherever you go. this is inside a guy's mind: games, cars, chicks,tv, electronics and comp stuff. sports too. i'm not sayin i'm buddy buddy with them yet but hopefully in due time.

studies are well studies. i think too mch about d future. 3 yrs from now, wat am i gonna do???? wad?? no idea.

i can't seem to let go of the past. i should move on. but somehow i can't. people do say ' hold on to what's good' dont they? but the more i try the more it seems to slip further away. a clean slate here? i realized moving to no matter where is the same. some things just dont run away... friends especially. i cant really let go of old ones to make new ones. blah, talking gibberish.

my minds all blurry n messy. don't mind me. i'm not a miserable guy here. i'll let pics do d talking instead.

A fiery experience

my room's all black no joke. death would have been likely but i came out of it just dirty and unscathed. thank God for that. my senior left the heater on on my 1st night and while sleeping my futon dropped on it and the rest was history. school has yet to start and i've created the biggest incident in the school's 40 years of dull history. i got pics but don think i'm gonna post it up. u can check newspapers though. don believe me? u can always ask for proof

i'm here!!

i've reached japan after my 2 nights worth of drinking in kl. Somehow but unsurprisingly i didnt cry at the airport. i'm just not that sorta person. We boarded a Boeing-777-200. Nice plane and pretty decent food. I like the touch of them actually serving japanese food like soba. A nice touch really. After flying 6 hours we landed at tokyo narita . I would think that they're more efficient than KLIA. We got our bags quickly and everything. What i really liked about the airport though is the parcel services that they provide. This means they'll send your luggage to anyway in japan for a fee. Now i know you're gonna think it's pricey but it's almost dirt cheap. For my 1 piece luggage to my college it was 1600 yen. convert that and you'll definitely be amazed.(It reached my college the next day by the way.)

the bus travel was tedious though. i'm just not used to buses driving so slow. Those in malaysia would be speeding on an empty road!We reached Toko Hotel in a smaller district of tokyo at about 9pm. The room was pretty small but they made up with exemplary services like pyjamas , nice toilet and a dish washer? Near the hotel, they had sakuras blooming!! aint the park with sakuras everywhere but it was nice. Then we went to a pachinko place! No, we didn't play but curiousity got the better of us. The next thing i was amazed and pretty happy about was 24 hrs game shops!i got my ouendan that i've been longing for a year! We did all this plus drink Kirin beer that night!:P

next morning,we had to wake up early.real early.after breakfast we proceeded to the train station and to off in different ways. i was with khalid and nizam and took a bullet train to nagoya. the ride was awesome. definitely a must do thing. i then interchanged at nagoya and as a first timer it:s pretty daunting. finally reached my kousen at 1025am

TBC on the next chapter:A fiery experience.

old buggers

my uncle while under the influence of alcohol told a joke:

One day ,they were two priests. They went to bath together. One asked the other if he had soap. Since neither had, and the monastery was empty, one rushed back naked to get soap. One the way back, two nuns appeared. Not to embarrased himself, the priest posed like a statue. The two nuns was amazed at seeing something of this beauty. One stroked it n the priest dropped the soap. 'A soap dispenser', they said. Amazed, the other stroked it a few more times and out came shower gel.
THE END

my last blog in kl!!! msia!! i'm leavin tom! scared? abit. excited? definitely. i'll be off to japan in 16 hours! wish me the best of luck!

Not a H0lid@y

20 years i've been living here n i've yet to see a rafflesia. call myself a malaysian.. However, i finally got my chance to see it yesterday at Gunung Gading National Park at Lundu. Apparently, to find a blooming flower wasn't as easy as i expected. It only blooms for aound5 days after 9 months of growth before it withers and dies. My friends how came from d west at the beginning of the month didn't get an opportunity to see this. My cousins from melbourne also were luckless. On the day, they left, it bloomed! Tough luck but that's reality.

Was it worth it?the journey there was a pain staking 2 hours! i almost finished a novel on the way up.When we reached there n about at 15 min hike, i finally saw it! 1st impressions was that it was kind of small but according to the guide, this species doesnt grow up to a metre so i guess 50 cm in diameter should be alright.and it didn't stink!

It was already the 3-4 day of the bloom so it's not as red as it should be. Still it's a sight to see.

The clearest river water i've seen. nice for a swim:P

What d hell's this? The guide says it's a flower, d tallest flower o sth but look at it! It's funny..
.............................................................................................................................................................

I was supposed to write this yesterday but my internet connection was nothing short of horrendous. So it's now less than a week. 5 days 18 hours to go. I'm almost done packing. Got my dental today. Done most of my objectives d. only a bit to brush up on. One thing i did realize about this holidays though is that it ain't much of a holiday. It's like a preparation period. Beside the physical aspects like luggage and so on, there's d mental one. Day after day i've been preparing myself that i'm going to be separated from my friends and famil, that i'm going to be all alone. It takes more work than i had actually imagined. So i can't be calling this a holiday. It's work. Really tough work.

Cheers.

trusT

how issit to trust someone? Everytime i try, paranoia creeps in from d least possible way. It's a tiring battle but hopefully it'll be worth it. I know there's nothing wrong going on. It's just paranoia shaking my belief. i dunno..argh..sigh.. this is frustrating...blah..

p.s: pls ignore this post

........................................................................................................................................................................
Things i've got to do before i leave for japan:

  1. Eat as much laksa as possible! That's cos there's nothing similar at all over there. Tomorrow will be the 3rd consecutive breakfast i'm having laksa. Call me crazy but i'll definitely miss this dish...sigh..
  2. Gu Bak Mee(Beef noodles). Somewhat local beef noodles different from the taiwanese versions. I tried the one at Green Hill just now. Was awesome. Much better than the one at open air. (This task is therefore completed)
  3. Excercise. I told myself i would lose some weight this trip back. So far, I've done an okay job but my food intake has increased dramatically as well.. so another..sigh.. needa up my gym and maybe badminton.
  4. shopping! for essentials i mean. dunno what i'll need there but food is definitely the main consideration here. Those instant pre-mix tht u pop in with meat n whatever else and poof! edible food. how are students to live without that?
  5. learn to cook. laugh all u want but it's been an interest of mine. so far only got one lesson from my mom. Fried rice! ahaha.. edible enough. So now i know how to cook 2 things ( instant noodles and fried eggs aside).
  6. Fried rice n sushi...It's gonna be very very sad.. sigh...Family and Friends. I've realised i shouldn't be online as much as i am now. Should spend more time with those that are here, my parents and a couple of friends. so dina, ben n chieh ping are like my best buddies now! my laksa comrades.. haha.. i'll drag them:P

I guess that's about all to do besides packing n bla bla bla:P Estimated departure time: 12 days 11hours and counting!

Prologue-Back from Hols (もう休んだ)

My 1st post in ages. I'm bored now and thats why i'm probably writin now:P It now has a new look. Gonna do some more touching up in d near future. Hope u enjoy.

I'm currently on hols, slacking at home watchin 24 almost every other day. Only on season 4 though but i'm catchin up pretty fast. I'm only 2 weeks into my break( was in a prep course in K.L for 1.5 yrs. just finished recently) but i feel like my jap is degenerating at an alarming rate. Don't think i'll be able to remember my 漢字 (kanji) anymore. That's really freaking me out at the moment cos i'm suposed to be studying everythin there in jap! i'm so gonna be blur when i go there. So much for a prep course huh?

Other than that, i'm pretty exited i guess. New culture n lifestyle. But i do worry whether i'll be able to make new friends o not. Japanese are kind and friendly but to be close to them is another thing altogether. i guess i don't have much to write for now cos i'm not there yet.

So i'll sign off here with a pic of my future school i pulled off their website. Cheers!

House is in the House

See, i have 2 weeks of hols and while other people are studying for their 2 kyuu, i'm like on a tv marathon. animes, movies and recently english dramas. One of it would be House. This certainly goes on top of my top 10 or 100 or whatever charts. Why is it so great?
That's cause the lead guy, Gregory House is such an ass. He's a diagnostician. He's damn good at his job. He has 3 talented docs working under him. Each week, their face with a medical crisis. They find the cause and cure it. Sounds simple enough and truthfully, that's all there is to it. But i did forget to mention that House( who's wonderfully played by Hugh Laurie) is a psycho, limp, drug addict and huge sense or cynicism and sarcasm. The docs under him is one a rich ass' son, one a black juvenile and the other, just a really really hot chick. His friend doc has marriage problems and seems to be his ONLY friend. then there's the director of the hospital. who's a lady.Add all this interaction and you get a very nice chemistry. House is always shooting down his subordinates and when Chase( the rich white ass' son) betrays him, he lamost literally plays and toys with him. oh, he's a great doc but he hates patients. Sounds weird right but he just like puzzles, i.e medical illnesses. That's why he always get the weird cases.
throughout the drama, they are plenty of unmissable and lovable quotes. e.g ' All patients lie.' or while refering to a pregnant woman ' You have a parasite inside your stomach'It's sarcastic humour, kinda like scrubs except scrubs is more from a 1st person's view while this is 3rd. This drama can be seen as the middle of scrubs and e.r, both which are equally great in it's own rights. This drama just carved out a niche in the overly crowded solve the mystery dramas. so definitely recommended to anyone, unless u're an overly sensitive guy. He does make some remarks about blacks or fat people but it's all in the humour and doesn't really step out of bound.
Next post, 24 maybe? been watchin too much dramas!

101 to look at Girl's Panties!

not for girls to read.. but actually this is just a load of crap..So, on to the story about me and Yang Kuang bringing 9 crazy Japanese guys around KL city( more like Petaling st.) They're pretty crazy from the way they dress to their attitudes, definitely not the normal poilte shy ones. Their hair was sharper than Goku's and with their towel+cap combo, it was pretty tall. and on to the bling bling, everywhere from piercing to rings and necklace. one guy did say ' my dad's working for the yakuza' and i do believe him to a certain extent. Yang Kuang and i thought we might actually die before the day finish but as they say,' we shouldn't judge the book by it's cover'
they're actually pretty nice and kind and generous by offering me a smoke:Pwhich of course i rejected!well, i was mainly their translator here and bargainer when they're trying to buy stuff in petaling st. cant understand y they wanna buy knock offs just cos they're cheap...
din ask them too much about japan but i understand they like looking at girl's undies! i can help it too especially in a school of 200, they are 140 girls with micro mini skirts! they even gave us a demo at bukit nanas monorail! just showin how extreme they were!
just hope that when i go there, i wouldn't be confronted with people like them are i would end up wasted my whole life:P

Malaysian culture?? so it is to everyone's despair

Snatch thiefs, pick pockets and robberies have become part and parcel of our lifestyle here even though no one wants to admit it. Sure enough, it happens everywhere, even in Europeon countries. Still, this problem seems very common here , especially when it has happened to two of my teachers in the span of a month. Furthermore, they are foreigners and even they have taken this as ' malaysian culture', not making too much fuss about. What I didn't like more was that both of them were ladies! one is entitled to be my grandma even! while the other, was a pretty 29 year old japanese girl and they had the balls to even kick her! talk about malaysians being kind and friendly! such hospitility !( Those form ppktj whould know who i'm talking about, while the rest would not have a single idea about what i'm rambling about here!)
Over the year, many people i know have fallen victims to this. I'm not excluded either. Why do people steal? Is it because their poor? But surely other people aren't there? Maybe it's from the thrill? That i may be able to comprehend but it's unethical ain't it?( though 'unethical' is a relative term)Whatever it is, i sure don't blame the police for not doing their jobs. It's almost impossible for them to be everywhere. I blame the nature of the country itself for the past 20-30 years, where everything outside just looks good, sugar coated yet the inside is rotting. Just like corruption itself, this problem has been around for the long until it's considered a norm! No simple remedy can cure this illness, only in the long term actions can be taken, which is through education? I have my doubts on it but it is the best bet. However, our edu system is not suited for it. The truth is, every little change can make a lot of difference but what changes are needed, no one actually knows. Trial and error would be good but haveing lost 20-30 or even mroe years on it, we don't have much time experimenting anymore. At this rate, KL itself would become another Jakarta, Bangkok or Manila?Reality or just my imagination?

Pd Sanctuary

Well, it's this time of year. This year instead of doing in a jungle resort , we were doing it at a beach resort. But, where was the beach? Anyways, it was our annual psycho course, this time at Port Dickson Sanctuary.
If i'm not mistaken, this course was almost the same as what my senpais had last year, except for the venue of course. Did i enjoy it? Did i change after all the motivation ' mojo'? Well, i definitely don't feel much different or neither have i transformed to an 'A Star student' too. For such a renowned speaker throughout malaysia, brunei and singapore, i really don't know who he is!( not that i know any famouse self help gurus anyway..)was he good? well, for the general masses and this group of people, i would probably say it worked wonders . Why? That's cause the touched on poverty and the parents line to make you study? But in the end, if you're going to study for that thing, you're gonna suffer... at least in my point.
So, he was trying to make us cry..he did actually in most cases, except i was the unsensitive ass here. But i was quite surprised that he did touch a lot of people( at least during a limitied time..) Then, he was talking all about mind and so on and so forth. Don't really remember much but i'll give him this one credit. i rarely slept. It's a major major thing cause i almost always sleep when i hear someone talking about all this nonsense. Bottom line, how to study, for what purpose to study, only you yourself can find an answer. There's no universal one.
So, that was probably all the bad stuff i can say about.. which is alot actually but i just chose to shorten it. Oh yea, there was one more.. COCKROACHES! must say it was pretty pretty huge like maybe 6 to 10 cm!and there were like 10 of it in my friend's room. summore, that guy got the balls to stomp them with his smelly shoes.. such cruelty....
Anyways, on the the good part, planes, boats and dirt! see, one aspect of the course was t build a model palne that could fly.. it flew but we didnt win, sad to say but really, it was fun. We noticed that all the physics knowledge we tried to apply was just a waste! next was kayaking! i was the only one using a single seater one( so proud of myself!) haha, but was really tiring and being my first time paddling it, it was pretty tough. was fun though, goin round and round and round..so next, on to dirt n mud! was more like a scolding actually cos some od us didnt wear the required shirts during the 2nd day , so the 3rd day some guy were scolding us and sent us to a mud filled beach. It was great! very cold and sticky and mushy, like clay:) OH ,about the beach.. it was like 20 mins away:P
That was it? about so.. we did do a presentation which i was very proud of my group! semi matrix style drama.. was abit messy though. not enough time to practice(excuses..)
so that's it i guess.. cya soon...

Destiny

Here's my review on Gundam Seed: Destiny though it's not complete yet.
Well, genreally it's about an ultimate evil guy with plans to create a world, where everyone is born with a destiny, much like gatacca if u;ve watched the movie. This is done through alterations of genes. So, the good guys will go and stop them? Yea, it's pretty that much straight forward.
However, the way the story's told non-linearly, which makes it quite interesting. It starts off with the Zaft camp, with Shinn Asuka as the main character. Azuran's around too but Kira is barely to be seen. In fact, he doesnt even fight until eps 25? For those who didn't watch Gundam Seed, Shin might be considered as the protagonist here but i still think Kira's the one. The antagonist is Dunnidal, Zaft's Chairman, yet again..( BIG SPOILER here..)So, Shinn and Azuran( for quite a while) are being manipulated by the chairman. And there's Rey, another Fraga clone or something. Oh, Fraga's still alive!( big big spoiler...) but he's like got amnesia and is on the Earth side fighting the war. Any other spoilers?:P
Now, to my thoughts about this series. First and foremost, the mechs, gundams. I'm pretty impressed. The Zaku's look awesome and there are so many versions and customizable ones. Lunamaria's is pretty cool. The Gundams though, are like recycled stuff from the 1st season. so Strike's still there.. rouge strike actually. and impulse is awfully similar to it too. strike freedom is freedom + strike. infinite justice is justice.. legend is like providence .. destiny.. well, reminds me abit of shinning gundam from cant remember wat series d. the coolest thing maybe be destroyer, a giant mobile suit.. and maybe akatsuki( red moon) belonging to cagalli then fraga. It's golden though:P
Characters, next. All from the last season are still around. New ones are like dunnidal, rey, shinn and lunamaria. All of them have a depth and they're quite complex, which makes things interesting. Cagalli faces her toughest challenge as representative of Orb while Kira and Azuran have doubts about the war and what they're actually doing. The strongest character is still Lacus. She's the one that keeps the group together and she's actually quite touching.
I would say the themes potrayed in this series is probably their selling point. As from the last season, war is the major theme. The series is trying to prove that there aren't any good or bad sides in war.everything is bad. war ain't black and white and they're lots of grey points. This was strongly potrayed in the series, even though i doubt kids might understand it.( maybe adults too) Maybe parents should watch this with their kids and educate them. Think it'll really be helpful.
Running out of time to write . So i'll conclude. Give it an 8.5 rating. Sorry btw, for not posting anything in such a long time:P Cheers!

Friends?

Why can't a girl and a guy just stay friends? Just because they seem close, it doesn't imply anything. Yet, most people don't know the meaning of close. Yes, I agree that i'm close with her but why can't people just see it as a friendly relationship and not an intimate one? Just like Kelly and Alex, even though i do disturb her quite abit but i believe they are just very good friends! Why can people of the opposite sex just stay friends? Honestly, i've got almost as much female friends to the male counterparts. If people noticed that i was close to her, they should see me with other girls! There's Angie, Happy Birthday, by the wayyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would say I'm pretty close to her even though there's no sparks or butterflies or whatsoever. Then there's people like Steffi or Dina, whom i treat as equals with my guy friends! The thing is, female friends offer a different perspective from guys. Both would have their pros and cons... so for those thinking that only single sex friendships, you're really losing out man:P
A bit short eh?? Next , on to suicide! Time is of the essence, 10 mins left! Really, I can understand why people would want to kill themselves as I've thought about it. Deep emotional turbulence, psychological pressure, etc, etc.. sucks really but I've realized that killing yourself is only being irresponsible( which many people are anyway) and it hurts those that love you most! Nothing and i mean nothing is worse than hurting those close to your heart! Furthermore, u're only running away from your problems, not solving it. All of this may sound very cliche but it's the truth. One last thing, after hitting rock bottom, you can only rise but if you're dead, how are you able to achieve that? (Unless you rise to Heaven but according to Christianity, u go to Hell!) Which is kinda harsh.. but no one has the right to take anyone's life including one's self except God. Made my point eh?
That's it for now, just wanna say Sweet 19 eggy Birthday to angie again!! miss u so so muchh, was really nice to talk to u again today!! will be waiting for u to come back kl, so that we can go lepak again!!! ciao!!

oSuShi!!

Last Saturday, i went to my teacher's house, Yoshida Sensei along with 3 other friends to learn how to make sushi. In short, it was tough the way Japanese do it. Lots of steps that can get pretty complicated.
Let's see, the essence of sushi, is the rice! Must never ever get it wrong. How to cook, mixture of vinegar and sugar and etc, etc.. So we were poor people, so we didn't use any expensive fish like tuna or salmon even for that matter but i realised it goes well with squid too! and, yoshida did have a bit of squid sashimi which really rocks! I really wanted to make nigiri sushi and i tried. She taught us how to make it. And trust me , it's damn hard. Lots of experience and practice needed to not master, but be able to do a decent one. Press to hard and the sushi becomes hard, too soft and the whole thing might break apart. Making makis or sushi rolls on the other hand was simple but tasted really really good( Kelly it's not my fault you weren't in hostel on Saturday. who asked you to go back home:P) Other than the rice, making egg rolls too seemed like a challenge!! Too hard to explaain it here without pictures but it basically consists of rolling thin layers of eggs.(duH right?) Really had fun that day and made so much sushi till i was bloated! 5 of us could not finish eating 1 kilo of sushi.
In conclusion. this cooking exercise was a huge success. The four of us have agreed to open a stall , if the hostel hosts the entreprenuership carnival like it did last year. Gonna earn $$$$, hopefully anyway. It ain't expensive if you use the right stuff! That's all for now..
Next issue: Suiicide or maybe what's wrong with a guy and a girl just being friends?!( Kelly, u know what i'm talking about here!)

Fadersss....!

Went to watched the Faders at atmosphore last saturday! well. i was being dumb for going there so so earlyyy... but after that everything was G-Reat..! ok ok, for all those who don't know who they are, they're these trio girl rock band from the UK. Very British music, which ain't a bad thing really! In actual fact, before that day, I've neither heard of them or heard any of their songs!! It was only through diGi, who were giving away tickets that i went.
So what were they like? very entertaining i must say. A bit similar to Avril but much heavier and less of that 'cool' attitude. Credit must go to the drummer( can't remember her name!) but she was really rokcing on the drums. The lead singer, molly was alright in the vocals and has reasonable guitar skills but i wished she had played mroe riffs and solos herself instead on relying on the background music. The bassist was great too, and she was really hot too:P Besides the heavy rock, they do play a few slow rock songs which were quite nice. Overall, their music, while satisfying doesn't have the impact of a Super super great and deep and meaningful song. It's refreshing though. They're still young being only around 18, so they do have time to mature and really hit it off! have they last long than an one album stint or break up after massive success...:P
Oh, that day, i was shocked that the Digi invite included a greet and meet session. Must say that they were really nice in person, and hot:P they haven't achieved 'celebrity egoness' yet. Got their autographs on my free copy of their album. and some photos which i'm still waiting to be sent to me!! Blueks! Really hope they make it BiG, then my album would really have a high value! That about concludes everything but i do hope DiGi organize things like this again!
Next post: Sushi for Dummies!

Bon Odoriii

It's been a pretty long while since i've wrote anything, not that there are much readers anyway!!
my life's still my life and i'm not dead yet .... for now at least and it's just about the end of an almost hectic crazy killing week..
Bon Odori was the start of it all, which was last Saturday by the way. For those who has no idea of what it is, it's a Japanese Mass dance festival to celebrate the dead?( Correct me if i'm wrong). Well, they have here too in Malaysia, in Selangor , Matshusita Sports Complex. It was reported that there were 34,000 people but seems too much to be true!! Anyways, I was a little disppointed i couldn't get to wear a yukata this year as it was limited and i lost..:P However, I spent the entire day recording the event, so it was for the better! I must say this year was different from the last, the feelings and the atmospehere and everything. This year, we actually talked more with the teachers, in my case, mock their food on how bad it was, which was kind of true. Didn't get to socialize as much with the kohais as i hoped to. everyone was like missing. I was behind a video cam anyway, so it was pretty hard to dance and film at the same time!!
Dances were pretty fun and the performances were great! i liked the Old people dancing, really show class. Ok la.. my UTM friends did put a pretty heck of a show too:P but the 1st even stole the limelight! no offence:P Do i have more to say, probably not..
This whole week was a bunch of sucky bloody and killing tests.. gonna kill me in the future!!!!!!!!!!!! bluEks! but whatever, what's done is done and I better get on with my dull pathetic life, so i say..
anyways, next issue's preview, The Faders, yes, i'm going to see them on Sat even though I've not even heard any of their songs!! and Sushi making next week with a badminton competition! speech too? damn, another frustratingly killing week... tata..
