Tokina AT-X M100 AF PRO D

i bought this lens just this week!u all must think i'm crazy and rightly so. price was around 40,000yen and plus the 56,000yen i paid for my kenshyuu ryouko, i'm pretty much broke. but it was worth it. when i bought my d70s,i told myself that i was only going to buy nikon lenses but i'm just a student. nikon's equalivent lens was nearly 70,000yen. thats almost double the price. i had doubts buying this lens cos i just don like 3rd party products. the only reason why i bought this is that the founders of Tokina were *gasp* Nikon Engineers. some say the sigma MACRO 105mm was good and the bokeh of the Tamron SP90 was excellent but i'm still happy with my purchase.

when i first held it, i noticed it was quite well built.solid and firm unlike the other 2 manufacturers.next up, test shots from the past 3 days!

overall i'm pretty much impressed with this lens. the aF speed might be slow and a little noisy but in macro photography, i dont think that it's really that important. on the other hand, its pretty good for portraits and just next week, there's d d80 live exhibition coming up! people, pray for damn hot jap chicks!
