養老の滝(Yourou Waterfall)

i went to Yourou today with yamamura, the photography's club's president. the other member, fuji couldnt make it. so it was more like a nikon d70 outing and we discussed alot about our cams and stuff. Yourou is about 30mins by trains for ogaki and has a 200m waterfall. somehow i didn't manage to get any decent pics of it but the smallers ones down here was another story. again, i spent a ridiculous amount on a new filter.4900yen to be exact. but it worked great esp for waterfalls. the filter(ND4) reduces the amount of light,i.e the cam's sunglasses. that way i can shoot at a long shutter speed to get the silk like water without over exposing it.

i was impressed today again by japanese's commitment to being there on time. i told yamamura to meet at 11am at ogaki station as i had to go to church 1st. i din realized that the normal train would only reach here at 11.15am. so instead, he took a bus, then took a JR train just to be on time. he could have just msged me! but さすが日本人だよね。

i shall stop talking more nonsense and let you enjoy these photos. i really like them and the place.. maybe i'll go back in autumn or winter.

enjoy!
